In 2025, trends weren’t just dictated by runways — they were shaped by social feeds, daily routines, and real-life obsessions.

Wellness Rituals

Pilates, dry brushing, matcha… forget the usual small talk — this year, everyone bonded over their wellness rituals. Social media’s obsession with Bala Bangles (spot them on at least three “hot girl walks”) and Scandi-inspired ‘dry brushing and sauna routines’ made sure that wellness became mainstream.

Lab-approved Skincare

In 2025, skincare went full lab mode. Beauty lovers demanded formulas backed by science, not just soothing rituals. K-beauty from South Korea — the global epicentre of skincare innovation — continued to deliver treatment-level formulas without the dermatologist’s waiting room. Meanwhile, brands like 111Skin paired clinical credibility with advanced tools for your at-home convenience. (Think: dermarolling and red light therapy.)

Top of the Sneakers

Much like the different genres on your Wrapped playlist, this year’s sneakers had range. As “gorpcore” kept climbing, Salomon’s high-tech silhouettes moved from the great outdoors to the city’s coolest coffee spots. Elsewhere, New Balance and adidas x Wales Bonner continued a retro love affair with ultra-slim profiles. And finally, there was the rise of the barefoot sneaker — where streetwear met holistic design — led by Flamingos’ Life.

Bags of Style

This year can be bookmarked as the era of tactile luxury. Suede led the charge, with many of the season’s most-wanted accessories rendered in soft, buttery textures — from Miu Miu’s signature matelassé padding to Bottega Veneta’s iconic intrecciato weave. 2025 also embraced scale, with wide East-West silhouettes and XXL totes enjoying their moment. And for fashion’s sweet-toothed set, the chocolate-brown obsession showed no signs of slowing.

Big Beauty Hits

The products that went platinum on social. From Drunk Elephant’s bronzing drops to MILK Makeup’s jelly blush stick, cream and liquid formulas surfaced again and again in “GRWM” feeds. And as for Byredo’s fragrance lineup? It appeared so often, we practically smelled it through the screen.

Hero Shoes

Well, you can never have too many. This year, ‘errand-running chic’ dominated feeds, with day-in-the-life content often filmed from inside a pair of UGG Tasmans. As winter set in, retro Moon Boots staged a comeback — boosted by a cool Guest in Residence collaboration. Meanwhile, the ballet pump continued its year-long pirouette, with Repetto and Miu Miu leading the charge in feminine, contemporary cool.
