While never clearly defined as a movement in the West, monochrome art found in Korea a generation of artists who combined Asian philosophies with Western training to create art that explores color, examines surface, expresses texture and nuance, and holds a wide variety of emotions, intentions, and meanings. The Color of Nature explores the art, careers, techniques, and philosophies of some of Korea s greatest artists, including Chung Chang-Sup, Ha Chong-Hyun, Kim Tae-Ho, Kim Tschang-Yeul, Quac In-Sik, Lee Kang-So, Lee Seung-Jo, and Park Seo-Bo.
